Hold others to a high technical and quality bar.Drive awareness among other teams and establish yourself as an authority for technical decisions within the technical and business community across EG.Proactively drive and advocate adoption of engineering best practices, leading edge technologies and solutions that increase the ease, velocity, quality and efficiency in ensuring that our products provide the best customer experiences.Document architecture, designs, action plans with incremental deliverables, results with demonstrated business impact, audience appropriate executive summaries and detailed actionable reports.Mentor senior engineers across the organization.Who you are:Expert in innovating, architecting, designing, implementing and building tools and engineering products that increase productivity, reliability and quality of applications.Creative and detail oriented, highly skilled in solving complex engineering problems, and multi-tasking across initiatives.Experienced technical leader who makes sound technical decisions and tradeoffs that benefit business and influences broad adoption of engineering best practices.Excellent communication skills and experience in documenting architecture, designs, action plans with incremental deliverables, business results, executive summaries and data driven reports with metrics and actionable insights based on in-depth analysis.Experience in identifying and leveraging industry standards and leading-edge technologies that increase efficiency of quality engineering.Experience in the application of ML in software reliability and productivity is a plus.10+ years of experience in software engineering. 5+ years in technical leadership roles.Bachelors in computer science or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.Expedia is committed to creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce.
