Our franchisees operate cosmetology, esthetics, and barbering schools where they highlight important theory, practical, and business skills and emphasizing social and community responsibility.Job SummaryThe Graphic Designer, reporting to the National Marketing Director, is a crucial member of our marketing team, driving branding and visual communication for a national beauty and barbering school franchise. This role involves planning, executing, and creating diverse assets such as social media graphics, print and digital assets, emails, animations, web and landing page design, blog graphics, digital photo and video editing, PPC ads, and other promotional and campaign graphics as needed. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with strong visual communication skills, capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. They must balance creativity with process, effectively advocate for their ideas, and possess a collaborative, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Design a variety of creative assets, including social media graphics, monthly social media decks, enrollment marketing materials, national campaign materials, website graphics, wireframes, and more, to support brand goals.

Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to brainstorm, strategize, and develop innovative campaign concepts.

Manage the organization and uploading of all campaign assets, ensuring smooth file management and coordination with print vendors and external partners when necessary.

Work closely with departments like Education, Advanced Education, and Financial Services to support their special projects with engaging and effective designs.

Develop design ideas and layouts that adhere to layout principles and artistic design concepts.

Work with the National Marketing Director and team leads to gain approval on concepts and final designs, ensuring alignment with the overall vision.

Complete all design projects within established deadlines, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

Utilize design software effectively to execute campaigns and creative projects.

Stay informed on market trends, vendors, and other relevant areas to ensure fresh and up-to-date design strategies.

Contribute to additional tasks or special assignments as needed, supporting the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

Strong portfolio showcasing your graphic design skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

1-3 years of design experience, preferably within a franchise or multi-location brand environment.

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.

Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premier, or other video editing tools is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and solutions.

Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite.

Proven experience creating and editing media, video, and motion graphics for various platforms.

Strong knowledge of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, color theory, and photography.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with a high level of organization.

A collaborative mindset, open to receiving and implementing constructive feedback.

Comfortable with face-to-face, phone, and virtual communication platforms such as Zoom and Teams.

Positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
