ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Budget and Planning

Reporting to the Executive Director of Budget & Planning, the Assistant Director leads the monitoring and maintenance of the University's unrestricted budget, as well as position budgets, in the University's central Budget & Planning office. The Assistant Director oversees the budgeting, planning, and analysis completed within the office for all academic, administrative, and auxiliary units and departments. The Assistant Director manages a team of analysts and is responsible for guiding and supporting their professional development. The Assistant Director works collaboratively with other finance and administrative positions across the University to facilitate problems that arise.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience.
Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter and team member.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with constituencies across the various levels of the University.
Excellent analytical skills, proficient in writing a summary of analyses in a concise and clear manner.
Ability to facilitate teamwork and empower others while developing a positive, collaborative culture by communicating advice and solutions to problems.
