A global architecture firm, focused on interiors, is looking to add a Senior Designer to their team!
Job Description:
The Senior Designer will be reporting to the Project Manager and Design Principal on projects
Will be leading a team of 3 to 4 junior designers
Will work with PM and client to develop the overall designs for project
Delegate, oversee and mentor work of junior designers to ensure design standards and timelines are being met
Review engineering drawings to ensure they align with design solution on project
Work with Designer to research and select fixtures and finishes on projects
Responsible for acquiring client approval and ensure integration into project designs
Will work with Designers to produce, review and finalize space plans on projects
Responsible for managing overall budget on projects and reports any potential changes in budget to PM and client
Responsible for overseeing tasks and providing feedback to junior designers
Will organize and conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements on projects
Provide updates and needed information to client on design specifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent is required
12 or more years of professional experience in corporate interior design projects is required
NCIDQ license is a plus, but not required
Previous experience with being main lead on design side of projects and leading a team
Working knowledge of contract documents and procedures, building systems, codes and ADA requirements
Proficiency in Revit is required; Enscape is preferred
Previous FF&E, spec, contract administration and space planning experience is required
Must have advanced design knowledge and skills
Advanced skills/knowledge in rendering, detailing, space planning, construction document production and contract administration
