At Rare Editions, we believe in the power of creativity, innovation, and attention to detail to create unforgettable experiences for our customers.Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our dynamic team on-site, 5 days a week. The Assistant Designer will play a crucial role in supporting our design and production processes, ensuring that our enchanting designs are brought to life with precision and excellence. Position is Temporary with opportunity to become Full-Time.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the design team to understand design concepts and translate them into technical specifications.Assist in creating detailed technical drawings and specifications for garment construction, including patterns, grading, and measurements.Support the development of samples and prototypes, ensuring they meet quality standards and design requirements.Conduct fittings and provide feedback on garment fit, construction, and overall quality.Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components that meet quality and cost requirements.Assist in maintaining accurate records of design specifications, sample development, and production timelines.Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to children's apparel design and production.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Engineering, or related field.1+ year of previous experience in technical design or internshipProficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator or similar programs.Strong understanding of garment construction techniques, patternmaking, and grading.Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in technical specifications.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Passion for children's fashion and a creative mindset.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Free on-site gym, locker room & bike storage.
