Our client excels in providing 3PL logistics services and cutting-edge healthcare solutions, delivering excellence through innovation and strategic growth.Position Overview:We are seeking a visionary Director of Business Development to lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and profitability across our diverse business segments. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and enhancing our revenue streams, particularly in the 3PL and logistics sectors. As a key leader, you will manage RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes to secure high-value contracts and partnerships.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve significant growth targets, including securing contracts worth $5M per year and beyond.Market Expansion: Identify and target new business opportunities within the 3PL and logistics sectors, leveraging your expertise to expand market reach and drive revenue.RFI/RFP Management: Oversee the RFI and RFP processes, ensuring that proposals are competitive, comprehensive, and align with company capabilities and client needs.Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to enhance business development opportunities and client satisfaction.Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to strategically position the company and seize new opportunities.Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, sales, product development, and operations teams to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies as needed.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Healthcare, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in business development, particularly within the 3PL logistics and healthcare sectors, with a track record of securing large contracts.In-depth knowledge of RFI and RFP processes, with a demonstrated ability to manage and respond effectively to complex proposals.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strategic relationships.
