What's In It For You?

  • Work Setting: On-site position with a 4-day workweek (Mon-Thurs, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM).
  • Competitive Salary: Earn between $90,000 and $105,000 annually.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing:

    • Review and manage the daily 'Buy List.'
    • Issue RFQs and evaluate vendor responses for pricing and delivery.
    • Research and collaborate with engineers to identify and source materials or replacements.
    • Maintain relationships with current and prospective vendors.
  • Planning/Scheduling:

    • Firm up job schedules (30-60-90-120 days).
    • Collaborate with department leads on job scheduling and shipping.
    • Release jobs to inventory and ensure all parts/materials are accounted for.
    • Communicate with sales regarding any changes in ETA and document everything accurately.
  • Engineering Masters/New Part Numbers:

    • Create and adjust part numbers and BOMs as needed.
    • Work with department leads to ensure component feasibility from a production standpoint.
  • Outside Processing/Shipping:

    • Complete and file processing paperwork for both in-town and shipped needs.
    • Verify pricing, part numbers, and create necessary purchasing and shipping documents.

Ideal Skillset:

  • Hard Skills:

    • Proficiency with ERP systems and moderate understanding of Excel.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology for contract review.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Resourcefulness and effective research skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate cross-departmental communication effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certifications: Degree preferred but not required. APICS certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
  • Experience: Relevant experience with purchasing, planning, and scheduling.
  • Personality: Must be assertive, inquisitive, and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
