Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a hunter mentality, who is passionate about driving sales and has a proven track record in business development within the paper and packaging industry. You will be responsible for managing a territory, prospecting new clients, negotiating contracts and prices, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where your expertise in commercial printing papers, packaging, and packaging machinery will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of sales management.
- Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
- Consult with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and propose solutions and strategies that meet their objectives.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development within the paper and packaging industry.
- Proven outside sales experience and territory management.
- Proficient in prospecting and maintaining client relationships.
- Exceptional contract and price negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of commercial printing papers, packaging, and packaging machinery.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
- Proficient in Customer Relationship Management and Sales Forecasting.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result-driven environment.
- Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
- Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
