Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate case files.
  • Conduct state filing online federal filing using ECF/Pacer.
  • Utilize compulaw docketing for case management and scheduling.
  • Monitor and adhere to strict deadlines, maintaining a detailed calendar for attorneys.
  • Coordinate billing procedures and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Prepare and update case status reports for both clients and attorneys.
  • Prepare folders and necessary documents for paralegals and attorneys.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring all correspondence is dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.
  • Provide litigation support, including document review and preparation of legal correspondence.
  • Manage complex civil litigation and appeals litigation cases.
  • Act as a heavy scheduler, managing appointments, court dates, and other important events.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a legal environment.
  • Proficiency in legal case management and legal assistance.
  • Experience with legal software, specifically compulaw docketing and ECF/Pacer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in litigation support, document review, and preparation of legal correspondence.
  • Proven experience handling complex civil litigation and appeals litigation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage heavy scheduling and multiple deadlines.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
  • A high level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and work independently.
  • A professional demeanor, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members.
