Design Engineer - CATIA

Job Description:
  • Experienced Engineering Checker to evaluate and investigate pertinent design factors on F-16 retrofit and production engineering design, 3-D models and drawings including all related design data.
  • Identify design compatibility errors and verify all features are of one interpretation, complete and adequate for downstream users.
  • Ensure the engineering design, models/drawings and related data meet all contractual, company, and Program requirements.
  • Utilize working knowledge and application experience of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing based on ASME Y14.5 along with ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices.
  • Utilize working knowledge and application experience on a computer aided design system with 3D experience.

 Successful candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and should be efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite. Very detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where critical and tight schedules are common and must be met with quality results.

Basic Qualification:
  • CATIA experience
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 Drawings, and Y14.5 GD&T, prior drawing and model checking, design, and engineering change process experience.
  • Successful candidate must be able to work in a model centric environment and should be efficient with PC operations and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment where critical and tight schedules are common and must be met with quality results.
Required Skills:
  • BS Degree in Engineering (mechanical, aeronautical, chemical, etc)
  • CATIA experience
  • Experience with ASME Y14.100 Drawings, and Y14.5 GD&T, prior drawing and model checking, design, and engineering change process experience.
