Initial traction for our permitting platform is very high, and we are pursuing many downstream opportunities as we perfect the platform. We're looking for motivated players to continue to build our world-class platform and help developers breeze through the regulatory process, soup to nuts. What we're looking for
Blumen uses hundreds of publicly available data sources to customize the permitting results for every project that is run through our software. We are looking for an intern that has a good grasp of GIS concepts and is focusing on a land use planning, natural resources planning, environmental management, environmental planning, or similar degree. We need someone that likes to dig in and research data sources to help us better inform our software how to use these data sources.
Responsibilities Research and make edits to our ontology of data layers Devise systems to standardize dataset descriptions when necessary Review dataset attributes and determine which we should provide to the customer and which are not applicable Support our team when we need to research and add a datasets, regulatory documents, and maps uploaded and standardized Qualifications Preferred working towards completion of a masters degree (or late stage completion of a bachelors degree) General understanding of GIS concepts (you can review layer attributes in GIS platforms, you can review data dictionaries) Broad understanding of natural resources planning or similar Pay $25-35 per hour, up to 25 hours per week Why join us?
