Technical Sales Manager - Carolina
Our client, an engineered products manufacturer in the construction industry, is looking for a Technical Sales Manager that will be responsible for developing business and executing the sales and marketing plan to meet sales targets and growth expectations for the Carolina's.
Responsibilities:
Have knowledge of and understand the stormwater and wastewater market and be aware of construction industry specific trends and regulatory drivers in the territory.
Attend, present, and exhibit at industry conferences and seminars.
Make regular presentations "lunch and learns" and webinars of all products.
Arrange escorted plant and site visits to influence key decision makers.
Make regular calls to engineers, owners, contractors to assist them with specific project needs.
Track and monitor the progress of a project from initial inquiry through delivery and installation.
Obtain from the customer project plans and requirements to allow the Project Managers to develop a proposal and pricing for the customer.
Present proposals, specifications, drawings, budgetary pricing and bid pricing to the customer.
Work closely with sales team members when bidding a project or securing a contract with a general contractor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Four (4) or more years of professional selling experience in the water sector and/or construction industry.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding goals, objectives, and sales targets.
Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
Self-driven, motivated and results oriented.
Stormwater and Wastewater Regulations and drivers in the Territory
Instinctive ability to quickly pivot and adjust to situational or operational changes.
Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred, or a minimum of four (4) years' experience as a sales engineer serving the water sector or construction industry.
