Governmental Sales Manager

- NE – Must live in the territory, ideally PA, NY, MA, CT or NJ.

The Governmental Sales Manager will establish relationships with key accounts, act as a business advisor to our dealers and be the primary contact for dealers within this territory. They will be expected to manage and improve sales within this territory to meet overall company sales objectives. They will need to Develop and execute on a territory specific strategic plan to expand Diamond’s market share within their market.

Key RolesDevelop and lead sales opportunities within the territory, with specific focus on developing strategic accounts within the largest mowing fleets within the territory.Assist dealers with the optimization of their sales programs and understanding of Diamond products and where appropriate, to broaden and diversify their Diamond product lines.Increase dealer and customer understanding of Diamond’s products and services and our competitive advantage over competing products and companies.Promptly respond to dealer service and sales inquiriesMaintain full knowledge of the inventory of the dealers within the territory.Assist dealers in promoting Diamond’s products though sales training, co-operative marketing efforts, demos, and other promotional activities.Responsibilities

Understand large customer fleets and buying cycles.Strengthen existing dealer network within the territory by identifying underperforming dealers and managing a plan to fix or replace them.Hold dealers accountable to established business plans and objectives.Ensure dealer personnel are properly trained on business strategy, sales, and technical aspects.Identify and recruit new dealers within the assigned territory, based upon company objectives and needs.Be responsible for managing the dealers’ on-boarding process.Respond to all customer and dealer calls and emails within 24 hours.Work as a business advisor, providing both business advice and strategic sales adviceAttend industry events and trade shows.Actively contribute to regular sales and company-wide meetingsQualifications

Previous selling experience: 5-7 years preferred.Previous work with industrial heavy equipment: 1-3 years preferred.Preferred education: associates in business, Economics preferred.Software knowledge: MS Office, CRM preferred.Exhibit Diamond Company Values:
