Job Summary

You'll manage daily operations of sites within an assigned territory to ensure delivery of high quality service to clients. You'll be responsible for client and employee retention, crew productivity, and workplace safety.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as client point-of-contact for day-to-day site issues, and expeditiously and proactively identify, address, and resolve client needsConduct walk-throughs with client and other company representative as appropriateWork closely with production staff to ensure all services are performed according to contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule and with a high standard of qualityEffectively communicate with production teams the tasks necessary to provide a consistent, high quality product for clientsEffectively assess labor needs and execute labor plan by hiring or terminating employees as neededDemonstrate strong leadership skills; develop morale and recognize employee achievements; foster opportunities for professional development of employeesReview and approve time cards for accurate and timely submission to payrollAnalyze and understand cost reports and budget variances related to contract projectsRoutinely monitor sites for quality, assess opportunities for potential maintenance, irrigation, and enhancement upgrades and repairsCollaborate with Service & Operations Support to propose, track, and resolve minor extra work projects to current clientsWork closely with Project Manager on A/B client communication and expectations, including site information and capital or large-scale projectsMeet or exceed annual sales goalsAdd and update client and project information in CRM softwareEnsure safety on every site by conducting and enforcing safety training and meetings, as well as consistently monitor job sites for potential safety hazardsResponsible for creating contemporaneous, prompt, and thorough documentation of all coaching, conversations, counseling, and performance management discussions with employeesSubmit accurate employee status change paperwork to administration in a timely manner to meet established deadlinesConstantly promote and encourage adherence to company policies and best practicesSupervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision of 15 to 20 employeesTraining, planning, assigning and directing workConflict resolution Secondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure successful completion of tasks delegated to Crew Supervisor(s)Recommending potential clients to business development team, based on current relationshipsQualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Landscape Architecture or Horticulture preferredEquivalent work experienceExperience

At least 5 years related work experience, including at least 3 years of people management experienceLicense or Certification

As required by state and federal lawValid and insurable driver licenseAbility to obtain a DOT medical cardCommercial Pesticide Applicators License, or ability to obtain within 1 yearCertified Landscape Technician (CLT) or ability to obtain within 1 yearSpecialized Skills

Strong relationship building and customer relations skillsStrong management and leadership skillsExperience working the commercial property managers a plusEffective oral and written communicationAbility to operate commercial landscape equipment and toolsHave a working understanding of irrigation repairs and familiarity with irrigation controller monitoring and adjustingAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under deadlinesOrganizational skillsFlexibilityAbility to use a computer with a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook to leverage technology to meet internal and external client needsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule formatAbility to read, write and comprehend EnglishAbility to speak effectively before employees and clientsBi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, including ability to read, interpret and translate documents and verbal presentationsBasic mathTotal Rewards

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.

Pay range: $68,000 - $85,000
