The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking, and dependableNetwork Analyst II.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Perform network and software analysis and complete updates as needed or requested using tools available.Support teammates, other teams, district personnel (to include Kentucky School for the Blind, KentuckySchool for the Deaf, Area Technology Centers and Area Business Offices) in implementing, supporting, andmaintaining their EdTech equipment, software, and services.Perform maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), districts andschools are digitally safe and current.Participate in the planning, receiving and implementation of new hardware and devices along with accountand identity lifecycle processes for account creation, user onboarding, and termination.Work with customers to support sanctioned Education Technology equipment such as laptops, iPads,associated peripherals, and their connectivity.Provide support for technology-enabled projects as needed.Prepare and maintain network documentation and configuration information.Perform other duties as assigned.Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test andbackground check.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree, OR, graduate of a college or university with an associates degree in electrical engineering.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of network analysis experience OR two years of experience in computer programming, network technician services, systems analysis, systems support, or production support.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis. A master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, network services, or production support will substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college (bachelor's) on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
