Position Overview:
Our beloved mascot, Blue the Pig, is a vital member of our team. He is a spunky teen, responsible for entertaining guest and being involved in various activities and events throughout the year.
Essential Responsibilities:Engage with guests while in costume, display enthusiasm and high energy always to elevate the experiencePreserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including body language/mannerisms, attitude, and fan interaction.Work well in a team environment.Consistently execute care and maintenance to ensure costume is always in operational, guest-ready, condition.Ability to be trained and crossed utilized to support other activities as required.Act on behalf of the Guest Experience Team as a Host and lead groups of all ages in tours, activities, and games.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to communicate non-verbally to interact with the public.Engaging, animated presencePassion for working with kidsAble to withstand high heat and enclosed spaces for extended periods of time (up to 30 minutes)Minimum Qualifications
High School or equivalent education required.2 years’ experience in a guest services role required.Experience working as a character/mascot preferred.All employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance per Cape Resorts standards.Must be available on weekends and holidays.Ideal height for correct costume fit would be between 5’0” and 5’5”
