Position Title: Transportation/Technology Support Specialist Level 1Department: TechnologyReports to: Director of TechnologyFLSA Class: Non-Exempt

SummaryProvide essential technology support focused on transportation-related issues within the district.This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting bus video security systems, ensuring timelyresponses to video footage requests, and providing technology support for assigned schoolbuildings.

Duties1. Computer & Peripheral Device Support: Connect, name, image, and troubleshootdistrict computers and related devices.2. Helpdesk Management: Complete helpdesk tickets and escalate as necessary.3. Secondary Server & Software Support: Assist in maintaining district servers andsoftware.4. Hardware Management: Monitor, test, repair, track warranties, and replace hardwareas needed.5. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate technology inventory records for districtbuildings.6. Software Deployment: Provide deployment, discovery, and troubleshooting support onlocal machines.7. Active Directory Management: Update and maintain computer accounts within ActiveDirectory.8. Training & Support: Plan and deliver training for district-specific software and hardwareneeds.9. Technology Deployment: Assist in the deployment and management of districttechnology equipment.10. Bus Video Management: Download, archive, and distribute bus videos per helpdeskticket requests.11. Bus Camera Hardware Support: Monitor, test, repair, track warranties, and replacebus camera hardware.12. Transportation Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records fortransportation-related technology.13. Training for Transportation Staff: Plan and deliver training specific to transportationvideo software and hardware needs.14. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as requested by the Director of Technology.

Qualifications1. Education: Candidate must have high school diploma and two years of related collegecredit or equivalent work experience2. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Windows, Google Workspace, andvarious technologies.3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especiallywhen explaining technical concepts to non-technical staff.4. Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask while maintaining detailed reports and filingsystems.5. Problem Solving: Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks,and proactively seek solutions6. Physical Requirements: Must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly, have a validdriver's license, bend and stand for extended periods, and repetitively lift up to 40pounds.
