NASCAR Jr Network Engineer will be required to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers. This position will diagnose and troubleshoot network and hardware problems and help maintain a highly available, flexible and resilient network. Jr Network Engineer responsibilities include resolving network issues, supporting existing network solutions, and ensuring our network is available and flexible to adapt to the demands from our customers.

Responsibilities and DutiesWork as part of a team and assist Principal, Senior, and Network Engineers as directedFollows core processes and procedures to ensure operational successMonitor, track, benchmark, and analyze Voice/Data Network trendsAnalyze performance of responsible technologies and documented solutions, identify problem areas, and resolve root causeTriage Service Incidents, Requests, and Problems reported by customersBased on Incidents, Assess need for any system reconfigurations on the Configuration Items and make recommendations or resolve within processLearn about emerging infrastructure solutions and other collaborative products, services, protocols, and standardsEnsure the availability, stability, and integrity of Data, Voice, Video, and Wireless network servicesSupport corporate network services including security, wireless, routing and switchingSupport the organization's disaster recovery and business continuity programsProvide prompt and accurate feedback to customers and managementPrioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneouslyDocument technical knowledge in the form of notes, how to guides, and manualsQualifications / Requirements

Experience and Certifications

Associates Degree or equivalent Experience Required1+ Years in a Network Engineering RoleCCNA RequiredCCNP Strongly EncouragedTechnical Skillsets -

Competent with Network OperationsCapable of performing onsite Event Support and EngineeringExperience in either Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto or Extreme infrastructure and supporting applicationsSome experience in networking products including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS, and Load Balancing solutionsAwareness of Wide Area Networking - MPLS, BGP, VPNPrior use of network management toolsSome Knowledge of Data Center infrastructure operations included but not limited to Networking, Server, Virtualization, Storage, and Environmental controlsHelpful, but not required, if knowledgeable on Cisco Call Manager technologies or other voice related systemsProfessionalism -

Professional competencies in computer engineering, networking, or related field of workConscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving resultsAble to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a teamCapable of preparing reports and papers on technical issuesProven analytical skills to arrive at sound conclusions when dealing with complex issuesAbility to contribute to the development of policies and to interpret procedures and guidelinesLeadership -
