Our Radiology department is looking to add a CT Technologist to their dedicated team of caregivers. CT Technologists are a vital part of the team ensuring the safety of patients and providing computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels. A CT Technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. A caregiver in this position works variable shifts/schedules. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Acquire patients chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.Maintain all aspects of the CT area including the technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing.Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging settingOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
