Our client is seeking an experienced ETL Developer with Healthcare experience for a hybrid contract-to-hire role based in Southeast Florida. Fully remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The Senior ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, specifically MS SQL Server and MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The role involves transforming and integrating data from multiple sources to support the organization's processes, data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in the health plan industry and possess a strong focus on data transformation and integration. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that data is efficiently and accurately moved, transformed, and loaded to provide meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using MS SQL Server and SSIS to support the business processes, enterprise data warehouse and various business intelligence initiatives. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ETL processes. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources, including databases, flat files, and cloud services, into MS SQL Server. Optimize and enhance ETL processes to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop, implement, and maintain data integration solutions that support data quality and integrity. Provide support and troubleshooting for existing ETL processes and related data integration workflows. Collaborate with other IT teams, including database administrators, data architects, and application developers, to ensure data integration and transformation processes align with business requirements. Participate in the design and implementation of data models, including the creation of fact and dimension tables using the Kimball methodology. Develop and maintain documentation for all ETL processes, data flows, and data mappings. Ensure compliance with data governance policies, data security, and privacy regulations, including HIPAA, in all data integration activities. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and other team members. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data integration, ETL development, and Microsoft Business Intelligence tools. Contribute to the continuous improvement of ETL development standards, tools, and methodologies. Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS in a data integration role. Experience with healthcare data and familiarity with health plan systems and regulations. Extensive experience in data transformation and data integration, specifically within the health plan industry, is highly preferred. Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL programming, and performance optimization. Proficient in developing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Experience with data warehousing concepts, including the Kimball methodology for data modeling (fact and dimension tables). Familiarity with other Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, such as SSRS and Power BI, is a plus. Experience with cloud data integration, particularly with Microsoft Azure services, is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies. Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM) tools. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
