The main role is end-to-end testing our live and on-demand video streaming services, video content management, and video distribution technologies using manual test strategies as well as automation.What you'll do: Design and document test procedures and quality measurements based on business requirements and functional designs. Create test plans, scenarios, strategies, process documentation, and test data.Execute and oversee testing based on your test procedures to ensure the successful deployment of company products and features.Attending daily stand-up meetings with the project team providing detailed updates and analysis when requested.Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.Participate in meetings to review requirements that also include Scrum grooming, planning, sprint review and retrospective sessions.Design, develop and execute automation scripts using various tools to improve efficiency of the quality engineering process.Collaborate closely with Product, Support, QA Automation Engineers, and Software Engineers to identify and resolve defects.Monitoring and entering tickets using JIRA, write troubleshooting and technical documents in Atlassian Confluence. Develop and maintain Quality Assurance procedure documentation.API testing using Postman, SoapUI. Writing Shell scripts, and testing in the following operating systems: Linux, Unix, MAC, Microsoft Windows.Ability to work with, coach and mentor junior QA Engineers. Working with distributed teams, including offshore team members.This is a hybrid work position working from our North Haven, CT office and your home.What you'll bring: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent plus five years of progressively responsible experience in a Software Testing or Software Quality Assurance occupation.Required Experience:5+ years experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for software testing.Experience in Agile development methodologies including participation in meetings to review requirements, Scrum groomings, planning and post-mortem sessions.5+ years experience with JIRA (or a similar issue tracking product), Test Life Cycle, Regression Testing, Functional Testing and Integration testing. Strong experience with SDLC and Agile development & testing.5 years' experience creating test cases based on requirements and manually testing software applications.Experience using different database technologies such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch and SQL.Experience in API testing or Web services testing using Postman, SoapUI.5+ years experience working with operating systems including Windows, Linux and MAC. Hands on experience in testing mobile devices both iOS and Android.Experience with continuous integration tool (Jenkins).Experience working in a hybrid work environment with team members across time zones.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Preferred Experience:Experience using video streaming applications and knowledge on video streaming and eCDN technologies.Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.Experience in Performance Testing, Load testing and Duration tests and with Automation/Load Testing Tools (such as Selenium WebDriver, JMeter).Experience with maintaining QA Lab equipment, creating and maintaining QA Environments, Servers and VM Ware Environments.A little about us:Casual and flexible environment to encourage creativity and collaborationFlexible hours and 4 weeks of PTO to enjoy life!Competitive compensation, annual bonus program and generous benefitsWe want all our employees to be a shareholder.
