Your RoleThe Product Strategy team is responsible for developing and executing on a transformative portfolio and product strategies that supports short and long term financial and membership growth across lines of business. The Senior Manager, Specialty Products will report to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy. In this role you will lead a team of product managers to establish and execute our long-term and short-term product strategies for our dental, vision, life, and other future potential specialty products across all lines of business.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Develop a comprehensive 3-year vision and strategy for dental, vision, life, and other future potential specialty products to grow membership and improve member retention, increase profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.Oversee a team of Product Managers to execute on delivery of the product strategy.Be responsible for autonomously assessing market trends, current product offerings and customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new product opportunitiesOversee the performance and management of the portfolio specialty products in market, including developing required scorecards and metrics for our products and setting operational goals and metrics for product development to align with the business goals.Develop business case /ROI analysis, feasibility, price modeling to provide new product recommendations to senior leadership.Partner effectively, manage relationships and lead discussions with key cross-functional leaders (General Managers, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Vendor Management, Finance, Actuary) in defining product strategy initiatives.Effectively socialize strategy while gaining alignment and building consensus with leadersPartner with medical line of business teams to identify process efficiencies across productsParticipate in overall strategic initiatives for the Product organization as a Specialty subject matter expert to ensure Specialty requirements are captured in investment prioritiesServe as a product evangelist infusing innovation and communicating the value proposition of the products and strategyQualificationsYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 10 years prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experienceRequires product management experience, especially in an Agile environment involving close collaboration with customer experience designersRequires experience managing short- and long-term product roadmapsStrong financial and analytical skills requiredHealth plan insurance experience strongly preferredManagement consulting or equivalent experience highly desirableExceptional verbal and written communication and program/project management skills, including an ability to communicate effectively and present information clearly and concisely at an executive levelExcellent influence, relationship management, and engagement skills in building alignment and accountability without formal ownership or authority over talent resources within all levels of the organizationProficiency with MS Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePointPay Range:The pay range for this role is: $ 145970.00 to $ 218900.00 for California.Note:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade.
