AG Consulting Engineering, PC a design, engineering and construction management firm headquartered in Manhattan is looking for several senior construction inspectors with elevator experience. Position (s) will be located at the project site throughout the New York Metro area. Title: Senior Construction Inspector Location: New York Metro area Project: New York City Housing Authority Qualifications · At least 5 years of elevator inspection experience · Working knowledge of the NYC Construction Codes · OSHA 30 Safety Certification Required Full Job Description/Summary This position will perform inspections on elevators, escalators and moving walks. The inspector will perform inspections of construction, alteration, and safety of elevators, escalators, and other related devices for compliance with the NYC Construction Code along with other pertinent laws and rules. Responsibilities: Collect and analyze data of vertical transportation systems Inspecting elevator/escalator components and systems Tracking, inspection of all MEP related installation activities to ensure conformance with the project schedule, Compliance with the Construction Documents and quality installation. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred 5 years of relevant work experience Knowledge of vertical or horizontal transportation system application Knowledge of local elevator code requirements, field survey, vertical transportation system modernization and quality control A.G.
