POSITION SUMMARY:

The Certified Electrician is responsible for providing technical expertise to safely plan and perform electrical work for residential solar projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely plan and complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU), GMA’s, Battery backup installs, and other major electrical workEnsure that the work is performed in a neat and workmanlike manner and compliant with all State and local codes and standardsAssemble all components of a residential solar systemDiagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issuesInterface with branch leadership to ensure compliance with Certified Electrician/labor ratios and continuing education requirementsFollow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirementsWork with crew and complete all portions of Photovoltaic systems installs (PV)Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and system issuesFollow all safe work practicesProvide top-notch customer service throughout the installationUpload photos and update job status in the company database when work is completeStrong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) ability to produce quality day after dayPerform service maintenance and repairs as neededDocument work by taking pictures and completing work ordersPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certifications:

High School Graduate or GEDRequired to hold a valid CA journeyman license or higherExperience:

Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experienceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of businessMust maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background checkAbility to effectively manage work to achieve required timelinesStrong interpersonal/human relations skillsAbility to read and interpret single- and three-line drawingsAbility to work safely in a branch/warehouseAbility to interact with co-workers and participate in meetingsSpecial Skills & Training:

Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panelsMust be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical tradeWorking knowledge of current NEC codesPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES
