Position Summary:THE FOCUS IS YOU:

We are looking to add a Tax Senior Manager to help guide and oversee our clients, in addition to supporting our internal leaders and the ongoing growth in Melville, NY office. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in various industries. The Senior Tax Manager serves to manage client relationships and act as a liaison between overseeing/mentoring internal staff and working closely with internal leaders, ensuring high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, S-corporations, and individuals that typically include foreign filing attachments.

Review of international tax compliance forms and work with a dedicated international tax team.

Fundamental knowledge of a broad range of US international tax rules and provisions, including Subpart F, GILTI, FTC, PFICs, WHT, FDII, LoB, FIRPTA, PTI, and BEAT.

Prepare analysis and computations for Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, PTEP, and FTC.

Comprehensive understanding of international tax reporting obligations, including Forms 1120F, 5471, 5472, 1118, 8865, 8858, 8621, 8991, 8992, 8993, 8833, and Schedules K2/K3.

Assist the Federal Corporate Tax Group with the preparation and review of tax provisions for companies with global operations and transactions.

Develop tax planning opportunities arising from inbound and outbound cross-border transactions and activities.

Develop tax models illustrating multinational entities' attributes, effective tax rate, and cash tax expense.

Manage day-to-day interactions with clients and ensure the completion of both tax compliance and advisory projects.

Supervise and train staff.

Share relevant tax thought leadership and draft tax alerts.

Stay current with Tax Reform and comprehend the new regulations and rulings.

Build, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clients.

Develop, motivate, and train staff – act as a mentor and a role model.

Demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertise.

Participate in the firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts.

Develop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sources.

Adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience

8+ years in accounting.

Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred.

Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree or other recognized business credential.

Bachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax).

License / Certification

Must be a CPA for Audit; May need equivalent certification for other disciplines.

Must maintain required CPE credits annually.

May possibly have other industry or specialization certification.

Legal / Compliance

Must complete acknowledgment of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document.

Government engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government.

For job postings in the state of NY, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity in accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $140,000 to $215,000.
