The role is influential in bringing forward great ideas and advancing the projects Database Platforms.Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database systems. There is also a heavy focus on automation and tools such as PowerShell and TFS integration.Opportunity to work with other database professionals and support a variety of Microsoft SQL Server technologies including SQL Server Reporting Services in a virtualized Microsoft Windows Server environment.Your future duties and responsibilitiesInstall, deploy, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server as well as other ancillary SQL Server components such as SQL Server Reporting ServicesIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve database system alarms and alertsSupport .NET development activities including database build and release processesGranting and removing access and privileges for database usersDefine users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely mannerCreate and maintain database system documentationAfter hours and weekend support is expected during certain phases of the projectRequired qualifications to be successful in this roleWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) 2010 or laterMust have experience installing and troubleshooting SQL Server in a Microsoft Server environmentMust have experience setting up and maintaining SQL Server ReplicationMust have experience setting up and maintaining SQL Server Reporting ServicesGeneral understanding of networks, and protocols (firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/UDP, etc.)Excellent written and verbal skillsFamiliarity with client/server architectureFamiliarity with VMware and Microsoft Windows System administrationSkill Set/Years of experience:Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration - 2+ yearsMicrosoft SQL Server Reporting Services - 1+ yearsDesired qualifications/non-essential skills required:Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server, specifically in archiving reports from Microsoft SQL Server Reporting ServicesExperience with performance tuning Microsoft SQL Server database systems and databasesExperience with performance tuning SQL Server Reporting Services systems, reports and databasesSkill Set/Years of experience:Microsoft SharePoint Server - 1+ yearsMicrosoft SQL Server Reporting Services - 1+ yearsMinimum Education Required: Associates DegreeEst.
