80622BRJob SummaryThe Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery is a pivotal role within the Information Technology (IT) department. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the formulation, execution, and ongoing refinement of the organization's Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and protocols. The Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery will assist in crafting comprehensive disaster recovery plans, conducting regular risk assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities, and integrating these plans with current IT systems and practices.They will also coordinate and conduct DR tests to ensure the efficacy of recovery strategies, document outcomes, maintain compliance with industry standards, and manage training programs to enhance staff awareness and preparedness for disaster scenarios.In the event of an actual disaster, the Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery will play a crucial role in managing response and recovery operations alongside the Program Manager, providing both technical and operational support to expedite the restoration of IT functions.The Senior Analyst, Disaster Recovery will positively impact UCSF's operations and culture by ensuring UCSF's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the University's mission. This role will execute UCSF's vision while modeling UCSF's culture and values.Salary Range:

Infrastructure Services (IS) is the backbone of the technological infrastructure, assuring the technical services that enable the academic, medical, and research missions of the organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of experience/training, in one or more of the following fields: computer science, engineering, computer information systems, etc.3 to 5 years of experience working in one or more of the following fields: Information Technology (IT) incident response, designing and implementing business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency response plans.Profound knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems, disaster recovery planning, and testing methodologies.Proficiency in managing and coordinating disaster recovery projects across multiple teams.Strong skills in communicating complex information clearly and conducting effective training sessions.Experienced analytical abilities with a strong aptitude for swiftly resolving issues during crisis situations.Ability to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers.Strong organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects.Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills; ability to scope solutions based on knowledge of available resources and timelines.
