We are actively looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Honolulu office. The firm provides clients worldwide with customized service and a level of excellence that have become the firm's hallmark in several primary practice areas - ports and harbors; coastal, environmental and water resources; urban waterfronts and marinas; transportation, bridges, and rail; inspection and rehabilitation; and energy.Duties and responsibilities:Manage multi-discipline project design teams for projects across the Pacific, including subconsultants, and establish priorities, schedules, and scope of work.Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline projects with varying degrees of technical complexity.Lead and manage construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications.Interface with clients as needed for successful project delivery. Address client requirements and manage client expectations regarding scope, schedule, and quality on projects.Communicate with staff and subconsultants to establish work priorities for projects.Design construction projects by studying project concepts, architectural drawings, and models.Prepare engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.Create feasibility studies by analyzing engineering designs, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.Produce engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and verifying calculations and placements.Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from an accredited university degree program.15+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer.10+ years of project management experience.Professional Engineer (AICP, PP, PG, etc.) licensure in Hawaii or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire.Software: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Competence in general civil engineering design is required, including roadway, paving, grading, drainage, H&H, water, and sanitary sewer.Ability to plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budgets and timelines.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).Availability and willingness to travel.All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify, and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire.Base salary range:

$165,924 to $202,796 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in the job description.This base salary range is only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the Hawaii markets.Physical requirements:
