Overview:
POSITION SUMMARYThe Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with the team in order to establish technical standards for workstations and identifying areas for improvement. Capable of analyzing, migrating, and implementing computer applications, systems, and network configurations. Capable of designing, documenting and scripting complex new software deployments. Able to analyze business technology needs, come up with solutions and take such solutions to implementation. Understand and able to properly administrate Deploy, Comply and Provision.
SCCM Administration
Creating and managing endpoint boundary groups across one or more distribution pointsGeneral monitoring of site health via SSRS, log files and the SCCM consoleIn-Console upgrade and client agent upgradesManage and configure user and device collections creating query-base collections
Route and escalate technical issues to appropriate technical support areas. Collaborate with technicians on root cause analysis investigation and needed communicate with technicians on end-user support matters.Participate and provide support with IT and business projectsMaintain overseeing of all systems owned by Desktop Support Engineering teamProvide system analysis for reported issues, including consulting with users. Act as the team escalation point of contact for technical issuesManage testing activates for workstations, laptops, VMs and other dependency systems across the enterprise for patching and vulnerabilitiesMonitor the desktop services engineering queue thru the service desk system to maintain 100% satisfaction and troubleshoot and address incidents and requests to meet SLAsOversee configuration site collection maintenance Windows Configuration power management rulesOversees deploying operating system Image (primary windows 10) via SCCM OSD. This includes:
Configuration of WDS, configuration PXE, configuring VM build environment and integration with MDT and Tanium provision SystemBuild/capture/update windows 10 and 11 imagesCreating and managing distribution points accordantlyCreating a deployment task sequence
Must be capable of high-level troubleshootingSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
Must have High level troubleshooting Windows Desktop OSMust be knowledgeable in SCCM and/or TaniumMust be proficient in PowershellPython and/or other programming language is a plusJAMF Pro administration is a plusHigh level troubleshooting MacOS is a plusEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree plus 3-5+ years relevant experience inAt least 3+ years scripting in PowerShellA+ Certification preferred or equivalentSecurity+ preferred or equivalentNetwork + preferred or equivalentJAMF 100, 200, 300, 400 is a plusLOCATION AND COMPENSATIONThis is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) and based in Bayviews NYC office. We have existing team members in this location.Base compensation is expected to be $70-90k with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
