RS21 is seeking a Software Developer with an active or interim Secret security clearance and experience building and integrating large-scale software systems to help us work on challenging and exciting projects within RS21 partner organizations. We are searching for experienced software developers at the mid and senior level so if you meet any of the qualifications listed below, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you will be working within the team environment of one of our partner organizations as a software developer, performing software design and software implementation of large-scale software solutions that host containerized applications developed with C++.

In addition to working daily with our partner organization, you will have access to RS21 subject matter experts and technology to enhance the impact and effectiveness of projects. You will also serve as a central point of contact between RS21 and our partner organization.

This full-time position is located in Aurora, CO with Hybrid work options available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g., automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code).Responsible for performing design, development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of software platforms and applicationsIntegrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, while ensuring they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilizationDevelop software tools to assist in creating new capabilities, to facilitate testing, and increase efficiency of yourself and the teamAdhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of codeParticipate in automation activities to establish Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and DevOpsWork with multiple disciplines in the creation of technical work productsInterpret requirements into software architecture and designWork closely with cross-functional teams to build functional, complete, and well-performing technical solutions, with an emphasis of personal responsibility on implementation processes.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active or interim Secret security clearanceAbility to obtain a Sec+ certification within six months of hireBachelor of Science in a STEM field3-5+ years working experience in object-oriented software development using C++Containerization experience with Kubernetes and/or DockerExperience with DevSecOps based developmentWork related experience with Python or a different interpreted languageSoftware and system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as necessaryStrong teamwork and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish and maintain good working relationship with all levels of the organizationAbility to Travel to demo and support command and control systemsNICE TO HAVES

Active Sec+ certificationCurrent or past working experience with Missile Warning / Missile TrackingCurrent or past working experience with Space Vehicle Command and Control.Excellent written and presentation skillsExperience with Web based development, including Angular,Experience and knowledge related to Space Vehicle Operations, Ground Systems and Ground System OperationsPrevious experience interfacing with the customer directlyExperience and knowledge related to software discipline process development and deploymentSoftware integration and system-level debugging experienceFamiliarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering

Compensation: $110,000-150,000 annually. A final offer will be based on the candidate's experience and skillset and the company salary range for either a midlevel or senior software developer position. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.
