Senior Network Security Computer Systems Engineer

to join our team in

Washington, DC . This position supports a 24/7/365 service center. You will have the option of three different shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). This is a part-time position.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performs as the highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services.Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects.Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments/applications.Recommends future direction or projects to management.Develops and provides training to junior Network Security Computer Systems Engineers.Implements DISA STIGs and secures AWS-based firewalls, proxies, and Cisco and Fortigate firewalls.Utilizes security tools such as Tenable, BigFix, SCCM, Cisco ISE, Prime, and DNA, and FISMA findings to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.Conducts audits to identify security gaps and recommend solutions.Contributes to security incident management and response.Secures site to site VPNs.Basic Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field.A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.Demonstrated experience working with STIGs, firewalls, proxies, Cisco network devices, vulnerability scanning tools, and FISMA requirements and findings.Demonstrated experience conducting security audits.Demonstrated experience contributing to security incident response.Preferred Qualifications:Proficient with ServiceNow.Demonstrated experience guiding and training junior technical staff.Clearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.Physical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Secure our Nation, Ignite your FutureThe projected compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
