Job PurposeAs a Director, Product Management, you will be a leader and owner in managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across various organizational functions. You will create an impact by driving 3G business objectives through product contributions, building new products, and increasing the profitability of existing products. You will guide a product team that is charged with the product's contribution to our business, building new products the drive revenue growth, and increasing the profitability of existing products. You will help develop new solution value based on your relationships with customers and prospects, particularly within the carrier network, including LTL, TL, parcel, and 3PL integrations.

In this role, be prepared to make decisions with imperfect information, know how to lead through influence, manage ambiguity and enjoy complexity. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, including a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must also enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

Cross functional communication and collaboration is key is at 3G. This role will work closely with internal and external partners to define release requirements, communicate key product and marketing insights and occasionally work to support the sales channel and 3G key customers. As a Director, Product Management you will have deep technical knowledge of the product offering.

The Director, Product Management will be a strategist who will translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks. This role will help set product strategy, prioritize features, and build consensus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leader that can recognize business opportunities and develop product strategies and develop product roadmaps aligned to 3G goals.

Act as a “voice of the customer” from the outside-in to the rest of the organization.

Collaborate with other Product Managers to contribute to the overall product roadmap and release plans.

Collaborate with other stakeholders such as product marketing on the creation of positioning for your products.

Create user stories for current and future products based on the market’s problems.

Manage the entire product line life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas.

Drive buy-build-partner analysis and where necessary review potential partner relationships for the product.

Know why we are winning and losing in the market and drive changes to our product and processes to create improvement.

Keep a finger on the pulse of our competition and help develop strategies to reduce the threat.

Evaluate revenue, sales estimates, and cost aspects of integration decisions to make sound business judgments.

Experience and Requirements

6+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS software.

Pragmatic Marketing or similar training.

Experience with packaging, pricing, forecasting and margins.

Subject matter expert/industry experience in Transportation and Logistics, particularly in carrier network integration for LTL, TL, parcel, and 3PL.

3+ years of agile Software Development experience; tech-savvy and passionate about building products.

Strong problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and make progress with less-than-complete information in a fast-paced environment.

Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.

Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with target buyers and users.

Must be a strong writer and public speaker in front of large senior groups.

Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.

Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.

Comfortable using tools such as JIRA and Aha! Proficient in SQL.

Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.

Product Management/Product Owner certification is a plus.

This position requires domestic travel to customer sites, from 10-20 percent.
