Behavioral Health Nurse: We Care Daily ClinicsBase Pay Rate: $38-42/hourAbout We Care Daily Clinics:We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a warm, welcoming, and modern facility that provides treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment located in Auburn. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve. WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.WCDC's first two mobile clinics launched October 2022 in Seattle and Tacoma. The mobile clinics offer the same evidence-based, quality treatment that is available at the Auburn clinic, including medication for opioid use disorder, behavioral health counseling, peer support, transportation, telehealth, and referral services. A third mobile unit will be launched later this year in the SODO district.Job Description:The opioid treatment program Behavioral Health Nurse is responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing of opioid agonist medication to patients in a medication assisted treatment setting. The dispensary nurse performs assessments, evaluations and administers other medications as ordered by the medical providers in accordance with regulations and standards of practice and consistent with policy and procedures. The Behavioral Health Nurse reports directly to the Dispensary Manager.Responsibilities:Ensures security of medications, patient records, and any other documentation required by the DEA, Department of Health, and all other licensing agencies.Dispenses appropriate medication doses and accounts for all medication inventory used during a dispensary shift.Accurately record nursing documentation in accordance with standards of practice in the electronic medical records system.Organizes and monitors the activities of the dispensary as requested by the dispensary manager.Reports to the dispensary lead nurse needs on medication inventory and dispensary supply needs for reordering.Attend all required meetings and trainings and provide such data as needed by the team for inclusion of medical treatment plan.Administers and reads tuberculosis testing for all patients, including making outside referrals for patients needing chest X-rays.Maintain a strong policy knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and maintain compliance.Participate in Federal and State substance abuse training and continuing education as needed to perform in the position safely and effectively.Interacts with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion, supporting the company's mission.Responsible for other nursing tasks and responsibilities as the job dictates and as assigned by the dispensary manager within standards of practice. Education:Nurses must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and have a current Washington State Nurse License. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required, or the ability to complete it within the first three months of hire.Experience:1+ Year of patient care experience in a clinical setting is required.1 - 2 years of Nursing experience preferred. Work experience in the behavioral health and/or mental health fields is desired. Experience in an OTP setting and chemical dependency treatment is preferred.Opioid Treatment Program experience will be given hiring preference. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job:During the shift, the nurse sits at the dispensing counter in front of the computer and stands or walks for other tasks.Some time will be spent filing, printing, organizing supplies, or standing to perform an evaluation. Additional responsibilities will include rotations on the Clinic Mobile Unit, which travels through surrounding communities to meet the needs of our patients. Nurse should have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. as they may be responsible for moving office supplies or carrying heavy files or boxes.Additional:Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records systems, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts with good diplomatic skills, including strong conflict-resolution skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Conducts all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.No history of alcohol or other drug misuse and does not display evidence of alcohol or other drugs while employed.Must be able to pass required background checks and drug tests.Complies with and is up to date with all other testing, screening, and credentialing as required.Characteristics of a We Care Daily Clinics Employee:If you are:Patient-Centered - Seeks to understand and effectively address the needs and challenges of our patients.Quality focused - Focused on providing quality, evidence-based care to our patients.
