The office of Academic Affairs at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH, invites applications for a staff position as Site Coordinator for prison education to begin as soon as possible. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position that is primarily responsible for working in tandem with other employees to coordinate the delivery of a Wilmington College bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Warren Correctional Institution, Lebanon Correctional Institution, and Dayton Correctional Institution. The Site Coordinator supervises classes as needed, often but not exclusively between 5 and 8 pm, at one or more of the three sites (Dayton, Warren or Lebanon Correctional). This position aids with admissions, registration, student support, and the maintenance of student academic records. It requires interacting with and supporting incarcerated students in person and on site, and it requires the maintenance of paperwork and record-keeping for both Wilmington College and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC). This involves coordination with the Wilmington College Prison Program Manager and the Wilmington College Offices of Records and Student Services to ensure efficient and effective delivery of key services to incarcerated students. This position is primarily located in the correctional facilities, with some presence on Wilmington College's main campus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (the list is not exhaustive):

Being onsite at one of the following correctional locations where Wilmington College offers its degree programs: Warren Correctional Institution, Lebanon Correctional Institution, and Dayton Correctional Institution.Supervising classes as needed at any of the three correctional institutions, including during evening hours.Aiding with admissions, registration, student support, and the maintenance of student academic records, such as obtaining lists of prospective students, recruiting these students to the program, and working with the Prison Education Program Manager and other Site Coordinators to create student admission files and advising files.Obtaining, verifying, and documenting high school/GED eligibility and other eligibility requirements as established by Wilmington College and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.Recruiting and enrolling students at one of the correctional institutions to the Wilmington College B.A. degree.Completing FAFSA verification or resolving conflicting information issues when necessary with the help of the Main Campus Office of Financial Aid Office, and meeting with prospective students when completing enrollment to gather documentation for Pell Grant eligibility and GI Bill eligibility, if applicable.Maintaining essential paperwork and assisting in extensive record-keeping for both Wilmington College and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.Making decisions proactively to resolve issues that arise onsite at any of the correctional institutions.Coordinating with the Wilmington College Offices of Records and Student Services and other College offices to ensure efficient and effective delivery of key services to incarcerated students.Initiating and overseeing the unique, confidential, individual needs related to financial aid applications within the Wilmington College PEP locations and coordinates the receipt of those applications with Wilmington College PEP financial aid staff, with special attention to the financial circumstances of incarcerated students.Ensuring all books and supplies are provided to faculty as needed.Assisting faculty in liaising with ODRC staff to develop programming that creates a smooth transfer of information and interchange between Wilmington College main campus and the Wilmington College PEP locations.Orienting faculty to successfully navigate the special rules, requirements, and culture of the Wilmington College PEP prison location.Overseeing onsite logistics in terms of administrative offices, classroom reservations, equipment, and use by faculty, staff, and students.Overseeing part-time Wilmington College PEP hourly support staff who are needed to assist with coverage of a site while instructors are in class.Organizing new student orientation at primary correctional site.Monitoring and submitting records for attendance and student conduct at primary correctional site.Working with the PEP Manager, PEP Academic Area Coordinator, additional Site Coordinators, and other relevant PEP team members to resolve shared and unique issues related to PEP operations.Envisioning, executing, and facilitating special projects at the Wilmington College PEP locations in collaboration with the PEP team and, at times, independently.Successfully completing other duties as assigned.Performance Standards:

Bachelor's degree required.Record of interacting positively and tactfully with a wide variety of people.Strong customer service orientation, creativity, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work varied schedules each week, including weekends and evenings.Must have a valid U.S driver's license and a reliable car for travel between the various locations.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong detail orientation with good personal planning and time-management skills and a history of performing these skills with minimal in person supervision in a complex operation.Experience in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and different databases is required.Commitment to a culture of diversity, respect for all persons, and inclusion; demonstrated ability to build working relationships with people having a wide variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences different from one's own.Commitment to higher education opportunities for incarcerated individuals.Finalization of the hiring contract will be contingent upon receiving clearance to enter all Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections facilities that Wilmington College services and access necessary files/databases in those facilities for program administration.
