The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Finance Manager - Datacenter Build to help shape the future of our cloud infrastructure accounting systems and processes and continue to build the MSIO team.
The team’s charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to-end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a key member of the team, the Senior Finance Manager - Datacenter Build will be responsible for Cloud Infrastructure Build and Construction-In-Progress (CIP) fixed asset accounting and enablement, with a focus on enabling Microsoft to operationalize in an efficient, scalable, and compliant manner. The Senior Finance Manager - Datacenter Build will collaborate with Microsoft partners, including Finance, Tax, Compliance, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Fixed Asset Accounting Enablement to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, while enhancing the controls and mitigating risks.
Leadership role in guiding and enabling accounting treatment and processes for cloud infrastructure.
Partner with finance to drive insight and clarity on Cloud fixed assets accounting guidance to help inform business decisions and financial planning (forecast, targets, long range planning).
Participate with a high performing team to add to thought leadership for Business Enablement.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX and Microsoft Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory, audit and compliance requirements.
Build and manage close partnerships with teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR equivalent experience
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
MBA/CPA
Previous accounting experience in Cloud, supply chain, fixed assets and/or multi-national companies preferred
Analytical, collaboration, and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of management
Proficient understanding of GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX
Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience
Collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
