Financial Analyst (Senior Fund Accountant)

Senior Fund AccountantOur client, a venture capital and private equity firm located in the South Bay Area, is seeking a well-qualified Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on various facets of the business, including tax, exit analysis, and capitalization table modeling. This position is hybrid, with the team currently going into the office 2x per week.Responsibilities:Accurately prepare/review financial statements, close reporting packages, investment accounting, impairment analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries.Track data for investments and exits with precision and create/analyze fund and portfolio reporting.Identify opportunities for process improvements/outsourcing and drive implementation of the solutions, with the opportunity to learn how to do this using SQL, Apps Script, etc.Review portfolio company financial statements, create pro-forma capitalization tables, and initiate funding wires. Work cross-functionally with the legal team to meet tight funding deadlines.Requirements:BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business, or related area of study.2-4 years of accounting experience, with a preference for venture capital or other asset management clients.Enthusiastic about using technology to design scalable processes to support the company's growth.Resourceful and comfortable with coordinated chaos and ambiguity.COMPENSATION:Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
