The general manager is the overall leader in the restaurant responsible for maintaining the quality and hospitality standards of Ruth's Chris Steak House and ultimately delivering financial and qualitative success. To achieve this, the manager must be an expert at balancing the needs of the guests, employees, and financial partners.

Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates attentiveness to guests' needs and ensures needs are fulfilled. Does the same for employees.As a leader, displays at all times a professional and positive attitude.Maintains business appearance in an exemplary fashion.Has technical expertise in the areas of beverage management, kitchen operations, human resources management, and front desk operations. Knows the standards and procedures associated with each of these areas and can teach them to subordinates.Can identify and train subordinate managers for key positions such as beverage director, chef, front desk, and sales manager.Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in an exemplary fashion and health inspection scores are maintained at no less than 95%.Demonstrates good financial acumen overall. Can write annual financial budgets for the restaurant and reviews financial performance daily and weekly to ensure the budget is met. Makes the company money.Is capable of writing challenging sales and marketing plans for the restaurant to ensure growing sales and can fully engage the community. Creates a culture of AM - Always Marketing.The General Manager must set the example for professional behavior, on and off the job. Fraternization with employees is not allowed. The manager is expected to maintain a professional circle of influence outside the restaurant.Maintains a culture of constant ongoing training and continuous improvement with no excuses.The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials at a minimum:A four-year degree in business, preferably hospitality management.Excellent oral and written communication skills - if you can't format and proofread your own resume, do not apply for this job.Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn a new computer application quickly and follow the standards associated with it.Above average knowledge of wine, food & spirits.Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for hospitality and an incapability of making excuses for anything less than excellence.A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees, and vendors no matter the circumstances.An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect.Above all, a desire to be the best.
