As a Perioperative Support Specialist you will:Work under the direction of an RN, assists in smooth daily operations of the PACU, OR, or GI Lab by performing routine and delegated ancillary duties according to standards and policies.Assist nurses in preparing and transporting patients for surgery.Help maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment and supplies in the care environment.This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.Schedule: 6:00am - 6:00pm or 7:00am - 7:00pm or 9:00am - 9:00pm, variable day shiftsQualifications:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Strong communication skillsAbility to read, write and speak EnglishBasic computer skillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association requiredPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:At CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness.Our Total Reward Offerings:Be sure to consider our generous benefits as part of your overall compensation!
