General Manager I - DistributionAs a General Manager at DHL Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouses. Your responsibilities go beyond daily management – you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic processes to optimize our warehouse operations. Your leadership will be vital in guiding our team, fostering a safe and productive work environment, and ultimately driving the overall success of DHL Supply Chain.Job Description:Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective services and supplies.Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), influenced by customer relationships.Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customers, leveraging strong team collaboration.Required Education and Experience5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, requiredExperience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferredStaff management, requiredP&L management, preferredProject management, preferredBachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferredWarehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience, preferredOur Organization has a business casual environment and focuses on teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement.
