Please review the following job description:Senior leader and strategic business partner in driving data and analytics services to fuel business driven insights enabling a competitive advantage. Manages an enterprise-wide data function such as Enterprise Data Strategy, Governance, Data Delivery (e.g. Master Data) and common data architecture. Drives strategic vision, planning, execution and management of all activities related to establishment, operation and maturity of the Enterprise Data Office (EDO). Leaders at this level could be assigned a specific area of work, for example, Delivery, Governance or Strategy, which would not materially change the essential duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership and direction of the data management strategy within the enterprise and ensures a data management strategy specific to their function is implemented effectively, yields high degree of data quality and ensures client data protection through a robust data governance program and appropriate security controls without constricting flow of business activities.

Champions data as a strategic business asset and driver of revenue. Effectively communicates the value of data to Senior Leadership Teams, offering data-driven business insights that challenge and improve current products and processes and use data insights to recommend cost reduction or revenue growth opportunities.

Act as subject matter expert to define how LOB and EDO processes interface with one another to create maximum business value and achieve business objectives. Represent the EDO for enterprise-level projects.

Manages a framework to certify all risk, financial and other key data through a culture of data and a framework of accountability (i.e. Data owners, stewards etc) to regulators and executive management.

Partners with businesses to develop strategy to execute on key business development and business management along with best-in-class economics and while optimizing technical capabilities.

Operational responsibility for the integration and staging of data, and the development and maintenance of the data assets (i.e data lakes, warehouses and/or marts) and tools, for use by analysts throughout the organization.

Manages a culture of transparency by ensuring the purpose of data collection and management and respectful treatment of client and internal data, recognizing the importance of building trust in and outside of the organization.

Supports research, strategy creation and development of new data products or services to expand markets, monetize data (directly and indirectly) and grow company revenue.

Enable business innovation throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Ten years of senior-level experience in leading teams both directly and influencing in a matrix environment. Deep experience in the development of strategy for data and implementation of roadmaps for the enterprise and experience leveraging data science, data engineering techniques and/or client analytics to develop new competitive advantages appropriate to financial and business services.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related discipline, or equivalent education and related training.

Understanding of financial services business processes and the role of data in compliance, risk management, finance management, and regulation (e.g. Basel II/III, Dodd-Frank, The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA)) and of internal audit and the regulatory exam process.

Highly effective consultative leader with an undisputed presence and credibility as a result of demonstrating strong business, IT and data driven acumen, effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills, which operates with a collaborative and results orientation.

Experience leading small to medium organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business or related discipline.

Experience within Enterprise Data organizations preferably within a financial institution.

Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Zafin, FICO platforms.
