Why This Position Matters:As Veeco's Manager, Talent Acquisition (TA), you'll lead all aspects of recruiting in the expanding semiconductor industry for highly specialized talent that drives our growth and performance and improves the human experience. You'll work with leaders and teams across the organization on talent attraction strategies, recruiting processes, candidate experience, intern, co-op, and new college graduate programs, contingent workforce support, website and social media content creation, and employer branding initiatives. You'll build and improve upon our existing processes and programs in a thoughtful, collaborative, and data-driven way. You have an ardent focus on talent acquisition's impact on organizational performance, a strong understanding of the modern talent landscape, and an excitement about tough (but satisfying) talent challenges. What You'll Do:

Own the talent acquisition processes from kick-off to close and manage the TA budget, recruiting vendor relationships and performance metrics reporting.

Lead a "small but mighty" talent acquisition team that delivers exceptional service and results in a rapidly changing and highly competitive talent environment.

Be a trusted advisor and partner to the business and HR, and directly recruit for select mid- to senior-level roles as needed.

Improve upon and maintain a highly effective talent acquisition process.

Cultivate a top-tier talent pipeline with the optimal combination of potential, skills, and experience.

Collaborate with the business and Communications team on social media, career site content, and employment branding initiatives.

Build external partnerships with key university contacts and community/professional organizations. Expand on our intern, co-op, and new college graduate programs.

Recommend recruiting tools and platforms, including enhancements to our current applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors).

What You'll Need:You'll need pragmatism, scrappiness, persistence, resourcefulness, initiative, curiosity, empathy, and courage (a good sense of humor also helps!). You'll have accumulated the required skills with a Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of recruiting, recruiting operations, or recruiting marketing experience. Experience in both agency and corporate environments is preferred. You'll also need at least 2 years of direct supervisory experience. If you don't have a college degree, we'll also consider your overall experience. Requires

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to write well, communicate clearly, and have an "editor's eye" for others' writing.

Expert with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools like HireEZ, Gem, etc.

A belief that attention to detail matters.

Knowledge of recruitment and sourcing systems (applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.), a solid understanding of U.S. employment law, and the ability to quickly learn about recruiting in other countries.

Expert sourcing skills, using social media, employment branding strategies, and other methods to attract diverse talent.

Excellent talent marketing skills and can tell compelling stories through various media (e.g., text, video, design).

Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Data-driven, using metrics to drive strategy and measure effectiveness.

Work well with everyone, but can also say "no".

Understanding of compensation systems, with solid analytical and negotiation skills.

A lifelong learner - if you don't know how to do something, you'll take the initiative to learn it.

The expected salary range for this position is $133,238 - $169,767 plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
