Senior Analyst, Performance Marketing
The Paid Social team at Expedia is looking for an innovative and technically adept marketer to own and scale automated social advertising programs across Expedia’s brands globally. As a Senior Analyst, you will analyze and optimize campaign performance against a clear set of performance goals, create and execute well-structured tests, and scale successful strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in end-to-end campaign creation, A/B testing, and high attention to detail. In addition, you will be analytical, curious, detail-oriented, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable in taking action with minimal supervision. Candidates must demonstrate a superior track record for ownership, creative problem solving and strategic thinking.
What you'll do:
Access and visualize data to regularly inform decision making (data-mining experience, SQL preferred)
Optimize performance to meet goals, such as maximizing net profit
Have a solid understanding of foundational advertising P&L concepts, including diminishing/marginal returns, elasticity, and incrementality
Form and execute strategy to solve complex problems which involves large scale data analysis
Work directly with social networks to understand platforms capabilities and explore marketing campaigns
Design and carry out well-structured, scientific experiments (including tracking, measuring, and reporting)
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to balance multiple business priorities
Be able to distill and communicate complex problems to a variety of audiences to drive alignment and remove blockers
Who you are:
3+ years of marketing experience
Experience managing a multi-million-dollar marketing budget and leading large-scale campaigns
Functional/technical Skills (basic SQL/data mining and visualization); have identified methods for collecting data, performing analyses and articulating findings
Demonstrated experience using scientific methodologies to assess performance and design experiments
Advanced knowledge of budget management and can run ROI assessment independently
Establishes working relationships with stakeholders and gains stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their concerns to further long-term interests.
Demonstrated strong ownership and bias for action
Demonstrates a broad understanding of industry best practices, products/services and their applications; distinguishes the pros/cons and implications of the options
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
