Position Summary
As the world leader in serving science, Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is offering an outstanding opportunity to join our team as a Director, Cybersecurity Audit & Compliance Counsel under our legal & cybersecurity programs. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and customer contractual requirements. Your program will bridge the relationship between our legal and cybersecurity programs to address ongoing and upcoming regulations and craft the strategy with compliance on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance on implementation of cybersecurity regulations and drive solutions to address riskBuild and develop a team of audit and compliance cybersecurity professionals to be subject matter experts and support program requirementsWork across Thermo Fisher Groups and functions to educate on regulatory issues and provide guidance on riskBuild processes to meet customer and regulatory cybersecurity obligationsOffer services to groups/functions based on needs, risk, and financial viabilityDrive transparency with clear and consistent communications on critical risks using dashboards, metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Service Level Agreement (SLA) consistencyLiaison with Product Security leadership to partner on Product Security strategy and incorporate into program frameworkPartner with business leadership to drive funding for Audit & Compliance goals as part of Annual Operating Plan (AOP)Work collaboratively with legal and data privacy teams to assess, communicate, and drive adherence to new and emerging global legislation, regulations, technologies, and guidance on cybersecurityReview regulatory and industry trends and recommend risk mitigation strategies and program modificationsDevelop, update, and implement a comprehensive training program on sophisticated audit & compliance cybersecurity related matters and divisional/affiliate policies and proceduresBuild and manage relationships with business, product, IT, legal, data privacy, regulatory, and quality leaders to facilitate complianceDrive continuous improvement of the program with utilization of PPIComplete other audit & compliance cybersecurity initiatives as prioritized with business and technology leadership
Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Risk Management, Compliance/Legal, or Equivalent Work ExperienceJuris Doctorate required5+ years' experience with demonstrable experience with cybersecurity legal within complex, matrixed, global organizationsProven experience in audit and compliance within the information technology sectorAbility to influence without direct authorityProven leadership of Risk Management at a large global enterpriseMust have ability to develop solid and positive professional relationships with all levels of IT and Business leadershipCustomer-centric personalityOrganized, well spoken, and excellent communicatorStrategic leader with a track record of strategy implementationStrong leadership of diverse teamsGovernance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) solution experience (especially ServiceNow)
