Vitalant is seeking a Senior Director of Access & Identity Services to lead our identity and access management (IAM) strategy. This role involves overseeing the implementation of key IAM technologies and ensuring secure, efficient user access. Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture, the Senior Director will develop and manage requirements, strategies, policies, and procedures for IAM governance.
This position requires frequent collaboration with staff at all levels across the organization, as well as with external customers, vendors, and business partners. This position will work in the Scottsdale, AZ National Headquarters 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week in a hybrid work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues.
Establishes an enterprise IAM strategy and reference architecture including standards and frameworks that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
Responsible for reducing risk, increasing operational effectiveness, and driving innovation which improves both security and user experience.
Develops and oversees the department budget in conjunction with corporate goals and objectives. This position is accountable for meeting annual budgetary goals. Identifies and prioritizes security program expenditures in coordination with I/T, Audit, Compliance, and Legal.
Proactively engage with various stakeholders, including business units, IT, legal, compliance, audit, and external partners, to develop and deliver a comprehensive and cohesive IAM architecture factoring in requirements from relevant organizations across the business.
Support and manage the following IAM capabilities: user provisioning, user lifecycle management, SSO, conditional access to cloud services/vendors and password management.
Delivers outcomes on the operational performance metrics and consistently deliver process improvement based on Metrics and Measures.
Lead, develop and mentor a team of individuals.
Manages adherence to the Change Control process.
Ensures the security of corporate data and information through the establishment and enforcement of effective and efficient protection schemes.
Remains abreast of changes and developments in the industry. Establishes and maintains a network of professional relationships both inside and outside the corporation. Represents the company through participation in national, regional, and/or local professional organizations.
Knowledge/ Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field required.
Extensive knowledge of requirements, use cases, system design, implementation, evaluation, and their impact on network design and business operations strategies required.
Proven experience in a strategic leadership role overseeing an IAM program in a large and complex enterprise environment which includes an emphasis on security required.
Extensive experience with on-prem and cloud-based Microsoft IAM products and services including directory services, all facets of user and device authentication and authorization, privileged access management, mobile device management, certificate management, identity federation, group management, single sign-on, etc required.
Knowledge of project planning and control required.
Knowledge of a highly regulated business environment required.
Experience
Ten years or more of information security, networking and/or systems engineer experience required.
Five years or more of experience designing, building, implementing, integrating and/or maintaining IAM and configuration management technologies in an enterprise level environment required. Five years at a Director level or above supervising staff required.
Strong knowledge and/or project experience with user provisioning and self-service; account creation and management; entitlement review and certification; entitlement management; enterprise directory architecture and design; role-based access control; single sign-on; identity federation; privileged user access management; multifactor authentication required.
Broad expertise in information services related to managing access for users required.
Cloud knowledge and/or experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platforms IAM required.
Skills/Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management.
Must have proficient computer skills.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management to provide consistent high levels of customer service.
Effective oral and written business communication skills.
Ability to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
Must have a participative management style, strong team development, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive-level managers.
Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
