We are seeking an experienced Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee and manage security protocols for a high-impact project. This role requires in-depth knowledge of security frameworks, particularly within DoD and IC environments, and hands-on experience with security processes to ensure the integrity and compliance of IT systems. Responsibilities & other details are listed below:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the primary Information System Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring that all systems comply with security standards and protocols as per DoD and IC guidelines.Lead the implementation and management of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, from system categorization to obtaining and maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) certifications.Oversee the security lifecycle of systems, including security plans, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures.Utilize Xacta or similar tools to manage and document security control implementations, assessments, and authorizations.Respond to and manage security incidents, including coordinating responses and remediation efforts.Develop and maintain tools to ensure accurate security clearance records, authorization levels, and need-to-know requirements for all system users.Research and recommend protective or corrective measures when security vulnerabilities are discovered.Ensure security requirements are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices to continually enhance the security posture of the organization.ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:

Over 10 years of experience in information system security, cybersecurity, or related fields.Bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Proven experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and obtaining ATO certifications within DoD or IC environments.Strong knowledge of DIA, DoD/IC security policies, and operational security measures.Experience using Xacta or similar tools for security management.Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance.BENEFITS SUMMARY
