** SQL Server Database Developer (Hybrid- Home & Office)****Job Category****:** Information Systems **Requisition Number****:** DATAB011463 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description****Job Purpose:**The Database Developer will be responsible for the day to day database work, developing and managing database objects, and performance tuning. The person in this role should be able to bring innovative ideas to make the management of databases more streamline and efficient. This role is also responsible for timely delivery of projects and will have to collaborate with the development team on daily basis. This person will also be part of a Database Support group which monitors and manages nightly processes on a regular basis.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Work with development team to build back-end processes such as queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages on SQL server* Tune the stored procedure and SQL queries as needed* Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating performance, monitoring, operations, applications, and programming* Convert business requirements into technical solutions working with development team to implement* Work collaboratively within a team environment and deliver under aggressive timelines* Evaluate new tools and technologies by conducting proof of concepts* Monitor and troubleshoot nightly processes on regular basis* Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions* Develop technical and training manuals* Provide data management support to users**Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:*** BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field* Should have hands 3 to 5 years of experience with database development using SQL Server* SQL Server, T-SQL, query optimization tools and techniques, data modeling techniques, and relational database design* Good understanding of the features available in SQL Server to achieve a scalable database solution* Various database development technologies, such as SQL Server, SQL Replication, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Warehouse, including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS / or ETL tools, and OLTP/OLAP features* Experience working on a DevOps environment with Database CI/CD* Experience with NoSQL preferred* Understanding of data modeling, data lakes, data-driven insight, data quality, and governance* Experience in hands-on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing, and other implementation activities* Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills* Good time management and prioritization skills; self-starters especially welcome* Knowledge of emerging technologies* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus**Qualifications****Skills****Behaviors****:****Motivations****:****Education****Experience****Licenses & Certifications**Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
