Position SummaryThe Business Analyst Professional II performs business analyst duties including gathering, documenting, and analyzing business processes and coordinating with functional, cross-functional, and technical teams to develop, test, and implement projects. The Business Analyst Professional II creates project plans, coordinates and leads project meetings, ensures project documentation is up to date, and manages tasks related to projects. Additionally, the Business Analyst Professional II prepares project specifications for developers, coordinates testing with functional stakeholders on campus, functionally approves migrations and upgrades in non-production and production instances, and assists with determining the training materials needed for upgrades and projects. The Business Analyst Professional II also supports the development of operational reports related to the projects as well as the development of APIs or data feeds to other applications approved to receive student information.

Conduct business analysis for projects and solutions

Provide analysis to identify downstream effects and impacts of decisions related to projects and solutions

Document and analyze user business processes and solution/project requirements

Prepare detailed functional specications with technical references

Serve as the liaison between functional users and technical groups

Collaborate with functional users to align operations and pursue both functional and technical process improvements

Gather proven solutions from outside groups to offer best practices

Review changes delivered to upgrades and make necessary recommendations

Assist with analyzing and resolving system operational issues

Schedule and monitor system jobs according to operational calendar

Configuration or scribing of requirements as necessary for vendor solutions

Plan the rollout of projects, solutions, reports, system upgrades, and enhancements

Develop and maintain standard project documentation such as project, plans, risk logs, issue logs, decision logs, and meeting agendas and summaries

Assess the resources needed for projects and plan for upcoming projects and deliverables, accounting for any overlapping projects and deliverable due dates

Ensure required documentation and deliverables adhere to oce standards and templates

Perform post-implementation review and analysis to determine any subsequent actions
