Job Overview:

This position will be working with the technical and program area staff to help with analysis, design, communication, facilitation, and code remediation of a transitioning .NET application into the portfolio. Initial work performed will involve modernizing an existing .NET application to a newer and supported framework and architecture. The focus of this position's work will be the application, however the team member may also be assigned to work on other projects and/or applications associated with the application(s), as specified by management.Job Duties:

Perform technology and architecture upgrades (modernization) to ensure the stability of applications in the portfolio.Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency's business applications.ssisting in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications.Writing, translating and coding software programs and applications per specifications.ssisting in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.Working with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.Providing mentoring and guidance to junior programmers.Required Experience:

10+ years' experience with MS Visual Studio, focusing on VB.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET Core.4+ years' experience with MS SQL Server databases, T/SQL, database IDE's and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), with the capability to perform tuning, develop complex queries and database objects, including both DML and DDL.4+ years' experience developing applications leveraging the React Javascript (library) framework.4+ years' experience operating as a Full-stack developerExperience working in Cloud Server environments, preferably Azure.Experience with CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of architectural design patterns, such as MVC.Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database designs.Knowledge of database security, including role-based security.Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM).bility to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems.bility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.bility to work independently.bility to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.bility to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, oral and written communication skills.Preferred Experience:

MS certification(s), preferably MCSD or MCTS.Experience with C# and VB.NET.Experience using code repositories, preferably Git.Experience in web development leveraging XML and CSS.Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML).Experience with environmental regulatory business processes and practices.Familiarity with Agile development, specifically Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban.Knowledge and understanding of the technical environment.
