NUtech Ventures-0931Description of Work:The Intellectual Property Manager works in coordination with NUtech's IP Counsel and IP Specialist to manage the new and existing intellectual property portfolio of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Responsible for the coordination of patent filings and working with the licensing team for patent prosecution. Responsible for patent database entry and accuracy. Responsible for management, negotiation, and execution for CDAs and MTAs. Familiarity with database management. Knowledge of patent law and Bayh-Dole requirements. Ability to effectively use patent and licensing database, Microsoft Office Programs, and email. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage several tasks while maintaining accuracy and high attention to detail. Basic understanding of intellectual property law.Preferred Qualifications:Juris doctorate preferred. Two years experience with database management. Intermediate user of Microsoft Office. Experience with accounts payable. Experience negotiating CDAs and MTAs including legal review. Understanding of patent prosecution processes.Posted Salary:
