Location: Atlanta, GeorgiaThe Director Industry Marketing - Consumer leads a team of marketers responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy and planning for UL Solutions consumer industry verticals with defined revenue and growth objectives. This role drives growth for all Consumer Testing, Inspection, and Certification products and solutions. The successful Director is expertly familiar with industry issues, vernacular, regulations, and unique buying behavior to provide insights and intelligence as input to innovation and go-to-market strategies.Responsibilities:Leverage deep industry knowledge to direct a team that defines the market opportunity for Consumer Testing, Inspection, and Certification.Categorize which solution(s) should be promoted and the corresponding competitive positioning, messaging, routes to market, target buyers, buying cycle, and more.Monitor and adjust strategy in response to industry trends and act as a subject matter expert.Direct competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and impending risks.Collaborate with strategic communication, marketing operations, and regional marketing to architect and direct buyer-centric campaigns/programs.Write or curate content in industry vernacular for inbound and outbound marketing activities.Monitor and report on industry marketing successes and ROI against defined goals/metrics.Understand the demand type and primary influencer audiences within an industry and map out the customer buying process.Direct the creation and maintenance of industry-specific buyer personas and identify target accounts.Collaborate with a formal sales enablement function on a well-defined sales enablement plan.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, communication or a related field.More than 10 years of experience including five years or more of relevant management/leadership experience.Expert communication, facilitation, project planning, and management skills.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.Experience in team building and budget creation/management.Strong analytical skills and process improvement capabilities.Able to translate complex technical and scientific issues for nonscientific audiences.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with internal communication tools.UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security, and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.
